When the shadows flickered a silver kit emerged. Her fur thick and silky strapped itself tightly to her small body. It wasn't that she was unuasally small it was just that she was small. Her fur rippled under the thin breeze though causing a chill to ripple down her spine. Shaking her head the shadows caught a hold of deep black stripes running like bands across the she-cats stomach and tail. Her face had the bands too, they wrapped around pale icey blue eyes. The she-kit's eyes glowed, not with hatred or shame, but life and determination. Her pupils had shrunk into slits which revealed a thin line of hazel around the edge of her eyes while other blues and whites rolled inside the lines. Flicking her eyes she squinted, for a cat her age they were rather large and gaze an eerie glow in the chill of the night. Sitting up a ripple of strong muscle ran under her pelt, even if she was a kit, she was not to be messed with. Shrivling thin black lined ears the she-kit turned to a sudden noise. It wasn't a mew but more of a hiss coming from behind her. Flattening her ears perfectly against her head so they were not visible the she-kit crouched once more. Large claws slipped through her pads and dug deep into the ground. Compared to her claws, the kit's paws were rather small but they held her weight well centered. Turning with her claws wrapped into the ground the she-kit flicked out her tail and let out a low hiss. Her eyes darted around but her ears and muscles were already fixed to a certain spot. It was like aiming for a strike, and everything was set.
Personality::
So there's brave and then there's dumb bravery. Rainpaw has a mix of both but tending to be the one with the bravery to stand up to her friends and to stand tall against cats bigger than her but never challenging them. She knows better than to come up to a WindClan warrior and tell them she can beat them in a fight. On the other hand she tends to have a sympathetic side for the other Clan's more than her own because she feels sometimes even her Clan messes up.
Rainpaw is also a bundle of energy springing around other cats with such enthusiasim. Her energy though is really just her being very uncontrolable. She's a very unstable apprentice when it comes to being able to talk to cat's. She isn't exactly mute but she rarely speaks to cat's even to ones she trusts. Her voice is not very commonly heard so sometimes she can loose it but it will come back a little while later. While she doesn't talk much Rainpaw finds that she has very skilled fighting skills. She can learn a move really really well after only two or three tries and she also has really really good balance.
Rainpaw is not exactly the most hilarious cat either and tends to get her denmates laughing at her not her jokes. She doesn't defend herself against words just bottles up her feelings until an unsuspecting cat comes up and she breaks her no talking streak. Being quiet isn't always the best way to go for her because she tends to make the cat she yells at run away crying and then they won't come near her for a moon.
Rainpaw isn't the most sturdy cat around but she isn't a total clutz either unless she is around a tom she likes. Then she'll trick over her tail, paws, and stuff that isn't their. Next thing she knows she's made a total fool of herself and she runs away in embaressment.
History::
Rainkit is a pureblood WindClanner and an only kit. Her parents [who's names no one cares to remember] had only one litter. In this litter two kits where born a small grey she-cat and a larger black tom. The tom though, named Raisinkit was stillborn. To make the situation worse, the birth had greatly weakened Rainkit's mother and left her with barely enough milk to feed one kit. Rainkit grew up alone in the nursery. Every morning her father would come though and visit her mother, glancing at Rainkit and sighing about how he wished it had been her instead of Raisinkit who lay dead in the Earth.
Rainkit never wished it though and her mother trained her to be strong and paitent... even if she wasn't always attentive. Her mother also tried to convince her father that Rainkit would be a better child for him than Raisinkit would. Of course though her sexist father simply growled and stalked off. Over the next moon Rainkit got stronger and braver and her mother prouder. Her father though would lash out at her even with his claws to toughen her up and one day when her parents went out on a walk Rainkit began to worry because night was creeping apon her and her parents were not home. By moonrise her mother was back her claws covered in blood and carrying her mate's body.
There was nothing but cold happiness in her mother's eyes as she lay down the body and Rainkit hid as the deputy and leader came to her. Rainkit's mother smiled coldly and told them that he had threatened to kill Rainkit and her and had attacked her but she was quicker the leader banished her. Rainkit wasn't allowed to even say goodbye as her mother walked from the camp her eyes full of disgrace. Rainkit was left alone after that, the daughter of a dead father who never wanted her and a banished mother who had killed him.
Shortly after her mother's banishment though Rainkit was granted her apprenticeship. She swore on her life to train hard and obey the warrior code to the best of her ability. She would show everyone how good of a warrior a she-cat could be.
RP Example::
A small gray shape slipped delicately from the nursery of WindClan. Her paws made no sound as she slipped past the lightly breathing WindClan warriors. As the moon began to fully rise she made it the exit and let out a silent pur of satisfaction. Smiling Rainkit crept through the entrance. She had made it.... again. Those sleepy head warriors never knew she was gone. She was out of camp and would defend the territory boldly against any enemy, except a real one. She snuck carefully along though the moorland and made her way to the Thunderclan border. A reek made her want to plug her nose so instead she gave her fur a few licks. "Man don't you Thunderclan cats ever wash?" She yowled loudly with menace into their territory.
She pricked her ears as she heard a rustle in the bushes something was behind her and as she prepared to turn it spoke and she heard. "Hello little kit what are you doing out here and all alone?" She shivered in fear slowly and then turning her head this way and that tried to pinpoint the noise, it had come from the other direction. Turning Rainkit yowled furiously and flung herself at the cat, "I'm the greatest warrior that ever lived back off you dumb kittypet!" Then after those words a large grey tom leapt from the trees his eye intent to kill, he wasn't a ThunderClanner at all, he was a rogue. Stopping Rainkit turning and flew away over the moorland her cries shrieking as she went, some warrior defender she was.
